So a few months ago I decided to pick up a steam link so I could plug in my 4 port GameCube to USB adapter and play old in games in HD when friends come over. I then found out that the steam link is unable to do so without virtualhere, which is a $12 software with 41% positive reviews on steam. To avoid that mess, I decided to look for some way to plug the USB end of the controller hub into a USB transmitter, which could then send that data to a USB receiver that is plugged into my computer. The only issue with this is every search I've tried with dozens of keywords has resulted in USB wifi and Bluetooth adapters only. The only thing I've found that seems to do what I'd want is meant for VR (very low latency), and comes in around $300. At that point, I might as well buy a whole bunch of wavebirds (wireless GameCube controllers), and send the signal to my pc that way. If anyone has any suggestions, or even DIY info on doing so, I'd greatly appreciate the help. Just to clarify, im not looking for a usb to wifi or bluetooth adapter. Im looking for a way to send the signal from a controller(s) to my pc wirelessly.
