Now there's a clear part missing and that is the CPU cooler. It is something easily mountable and unforunately it was the part that had been stuck in transit for the longest and did not arrive when it should have. However I've been told you can briefly boot up the PC into post without the cpu cooler to test if everything is working which is what I did for a solid 8 seconds before powering down to see if there was anything I did wrong along the way

When I power the system, these are what are clearly working: -Rear fan (connected to the motherboard) -3 front fans (connected to the power supply) -Back port connected keyboard (my keyboard lights up and responds to turning caps lock on) -Video card fans spin so seems like it is working

I use an hdmi port to connect to my 1080p led tv as I do not have a dedicated monitor yet, so it is unclear if the hdmi port is the issue and I just can't see the post because of this. Does it take longer than 10 seconds of hitting delete/backspace on the keyboard to go into the post? Is it the cpu not processing?

Since the cpu is the top thing I am questioning, here is a question. My power supply has a 4x4 pin connector (cable breaks off slightly into two 4 pin ones that can fuse to become an 8) directly from the PSU itself like how the 24 pin is for the motherboard power. I have been told this is the cpu power connector and not the 8 pin connection that says CPU part of the peripheral bag of cables that included sata and molex connections. Was I given wrong information and should I use the 8 pin?

Solution
Do not start anything without CPU cooler, not even briefly !!! Also many new MBs wouldn't even let CPU start until a fan for CPU cooler is connected (and running) to appropriate place. Trying without it is futile.
Yes you are supposed to connect that 4+4 pin to 8 pin connector on the top of MB from PSU, those two 4 pin connectors are different and keyed so the can fit in only one place and only one way, don't force them, look at shapes on PSU and MB side carefully.
There may be some other connectors with 8 pins (mostly 6+2) and they are for graphic cards and don't confuse them with anything else. Usually marked PCIe connector. Your GPU most likely doesn't need own power connector so it's even more important to have those 4+4...
