I am looking to build my first gaming pc by myself, but since I don't have any experience but form youtube videos, I need help. I created a part list over here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/F6XhP3
It costs currently $668, but I am willing to pay more for better performance, as long as the price doesn't go a cent higher than $1000. My problem is that I don't know what to upgrade. The pc only needs about 300W at the moment, so I don't need a 550W PSU, but I don't know what to swap it with. So what I basically need someone to do for me please is to downgrade some of the parts that are too strong (example PSU) and rather upgrade other parts. And if there is like another brand that makes 2x8 Ram sticks, what is the name because I'm probablly paying a way too big price just because it's "Corsair Vengance". General advice would also be appreciated. Thanks!

Why use intel? From what I've heard, Amd Ryzen is cheaper and better for gaming, while intel is only better for video editing.

intel cpu's are the superior all around cpu's, especially for gaming

ryzen is more of a budget workstation cpu that can game a bit

the i5 8400 is also cheaper than the 1600, and with a z370 you have better upgrade path

a cheaper weak vrm ryzen b350 mobo maxes out at a 1600, you would cook the vrm if you tried anything higher

The Ryzen 5 performs better in most of the games. It has a higher clockspeed and has double the threads. So I still don't understang why you recommend the i5 8400.
