Hi Guys,

First of all my spec,
CPU: AMD A8-5600k 3.7Ghz
CPU Cooler: stock
Memory: 8Gb

My CPU seems to be running at a considerably high Temp. Under Idle i am seeing temps of 70-80 Degrees Celsius when using HWMonitor to record my temps. Under a small load , so with Google Chrome open with 2 tabs and a very low graphic game running , etc Oldschool runescape i am seeing temperatures between 90-100 Degrees Celsius and my CPU is only at around 50% use.

I screenshotted below the programs/apps i have open on taskbar and i have put AMD Overdrive and HWMonitor in tandem next to each other , why i am receiving temps like this?

My PC also shuts down randomly on the odd occasion which i believe is due to temperature but im not sure. It just cuts out and reboots. Although it may not be temperature as i dont always see the temperature before it shuts down and reboots.

What can i do to prevent this , i'm worried im gonna fry my pc parts.

Solution
That will be the temperature causing it to shut down. Apply thermal paste again, a small line through the middle of CPU, and reseat the cooler and make sure it's tight and secure.
