Building a gaming PC primarily for GTA 5 at 60fps, 1080P. Want to run mods. GTX 1050 ti, or GTX 1060 6GB

Good Evening,

I am in the process of picking parts for my PC build that will mostly be used to run GTA 5 with some visual mods ( saw some "redux" mods on youtube, as well as other mods that make GTA 5 look even more beautiful) and a lot of vehicle mods (wanted to put some real world cars inside GTA.)

I'd also like to note that I would like to run GTA 5 on relatively high settings.

Other games I'd like to dabble in are include:
Star Citizen
American & Euro truck simulator
Skyrim

These games above aren't very taxing and either GPU should be able to handle it. (with the exception of star citizen, pretty sure id have to do some tweaking to the graphics settings)

From my research, I've found that vehicle mods shouldn't really effect performance too much. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Here is my perspective build so far.
CPU: Ryzen 3 1300X 4 core, 3.5GHz with 3.7"Turbo" (willing to overclock to 3.9-4.0 if necessary)
Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 AM4 mATX AMD Motherboard
RAM: 8GB DDR 2666-speed
HDD: 2tb Toshiba HDD 7200-speed
PSU: cheapest 80+certified 500W-600W supply I can find with good reviews. (let me know if this is overkill please)

And now, for the actual questions:

1. Will the GTX 1050 TI 4GB fare well with GTA 5 and my build?

I really wanted to buy the GTX1060 6GB, however, I can only find one for around $400.
This is fine, but id have to wait a bit longer to purchase it.

2. Is it worth it to wait and purchase the GTX 1060 6GB?

3. Other than a graphics card, would you change anything in my build to help my system perform better for GTA 5 with mods?

4. Are there AMD counterparts to the GPU's I'm looking for that would do a good/better job?

Thank you for your time.

Solution
Well it really depends on what settings you expect to use in GTA 5, if you turn everything up to max neither card will get 60 FPS.

I would say at min the GTX 1060 6GB or a GTX 1070 recommended if you want to use MAX settings.

Also would recommend a more powerful CPU than a Ryzen 3, GTA 5 can be very demanding on BOTH the CPU and GPU once the settings get cranked up.

I recommend getting a good solid 550W PSU if you like the system you want to build. Something like a Seasonic G-550 or Corsair TX550M.

Oh my, I've just looked up some prices for the 1070, and it goes for $550-700.

I was planning to run GTA on at least "high" settings if not "very high." I could already assume "ultra" would be pushing it.

and thank you for the information regarding the PSU.

I feel as if I should be rethinking my whole build lol.

Nowadays, due to cryptocurrency mining, prices of cards have gone way too high....even a decent 1050ti costs around $250 now....so I recommend u to buy a used gpu...coz used 980ti's go roughly fr around $270-300 which is still a bargain....as its performance is almost similar to that of a 1070...
For example..look at this ad on hardwareswap

Thank you for the info!

I actually did not consider the 980ti. Would it be compatible with a b350 motherboard?
If you couldn't tell, I am building my first gaming pc.

So far ive changed my build a bit.
Cpu: ryzen 5 1600x
Mobo: Asus rog strix b350
Ram: 2 x 8 gb 3200mhz ram
Psu: 700w thermaltake 80+ certified
Case: thermaltake p1
Gpu: ?? 1070? 980ti? 1060 6gb?
It's a bad time to build a pc with all these insane prices on graphics cards.
