Hey Guys,
Which would you say is the better performer specifically for AC Origins, the i7 2600 or an Ivy I5 3570? those are my two options at the moment and benchmarks on youtube are not making it any clearer.I plan to pair one of those cpu's with a gtx 970.
Seeing some of the titles starting to take advantage of hyperthreding makes me lean in favor of the i7,but i'm still not sure :D
Thanks

What motherboard do you have? You may need a bios update to support Ivy. 2600k in favor though if your board is decent enough to overclock 4.5GHz + hyper 212 or noctua d14 to keep cool.

Ac is very badly optimised. Very badly.

AC Origins absolutely hammers CPU's. I aim for 80-90 fps and am crushed to 50-60 fps in places. The 8 threads on my 4790k are usually pegged at 90%+.

If you are aiming for 60 fps I would probably check out some videos to see how CPU's are fairing with that framerate. In in case you are better off with an i7. Is a newer gen CPU not an option for you?

i checked to see if the mobo supports ivy,and it does indeed,i guess i'll go with the i7 in this case. in regards to kol12,no..i can't afford an i7 3770k and i'm fine with 45fps.actually my threshold for fps is 36 (i know it may seem random but i locked a couple of games at different framerates to check what's the lowest fps i can deal with :D of couse i prefer 60 but in ac origins is just not doable for me right now :(
thanks for the answers.
