Hello, I am having trouble with my 4790k cpu in regards to idle temps. It has been going on for quite sometime now, and getting worst lately. Normal Idle temps for my cpu are in the low 30s, however, out of nowhere sometimes when I turn on the cpu the temps at idle with only 2-3% load are in their high 40s & 50s. It goes from me being able to play SWTOR at very high with max temps below 50C to, temps hitting 90C. And I am so confused on what possibly causes this. I've not seen a thread about it on here so far, or around google. It's causing me to think that either the cpu is bad, or something is just wrong with my system in regards to compatibility.

Right now they're idle in their high 20s & low 30s. The 2 times i used the comp earlier today, Idles started in their high 40s and low 50s.

- Had the thermal paste done , just recently
- Computer is clean
- H100i V.2
- Gpu : 1080ti gtx
- Motherboard: Gigabye Z97X-UD3H

Now this lead me to investigate on "event viewer", where I also found this error:

I don't know if this error is related to the cpu or what, so more info that error would be great as well please.

My uses for cpu: Video editing/gameplay recording/ unreal engine usage/ photoshop/ 3d modeling/ Hardcore gaming.

- Thank You Kindly.

The NVLDDMKM Error is a GPU Error. to fix that i suggest reinstalling your Nvidia Drivers. It has been know to cause unrelated heat increase in the CPU. As for the CPU itself are the fans spinning on the radiator, i know it sounds silly but sometimes you can't hear it you need to see fully.

Sadly, the reinstalling of Nvidia drivers did not work.
