I have a toshiba satellite c850, I believe the laptop overheated and the screen started to blink alot before a black screen is shown. If it is the VGA can it be replaced in this particular laptop model, or should I buy another board. If I need another board do have an idea regarding the price (let us say a used motherboard and not a new one)

I was playing a video game with a high resolution when suddenly the screen started to mess up till in the end nothing is shown on the screen. I tried to connect the laptop to a TV with HDMI but nothing is shown too. My laptop is almost 5 years old.

No, it is my first time. I didn't clean my laptop since 3 years probably and when I disassembled it a thick layer of dust was blocking the fan outlet. I'm positive it is the VGA but can it be replaced?

Unless you have a 5 year warranty I doubt you can replace the computer, though, even you can I would not recommend trying to game in high resolution because the specs don't look like something that could provide that. I'm assuming you by VGA you mean the monitor which it probably isn't. More likely the computer components inside.

Hi guys, I asked a local tech and he said he can provide a used motherboard for 190$ including the assembly. But he want my old motherboard otherwise I'll have to pay for the parts that are not included in the motherboards price. I don't know what parts he is referring to but they are not the rams or the cooling unit. Any ideas about the parts he is referring to? Can it be the CPU, but I believe the CPU is integrated in the board.
PS: A brand new board costs more than 350$.

It might be the CPU yeah, also looking online they also have lots of mobos you just might have to be sure which model it's for.
