What GPU should I buy?

Hello! How are you? I'm new here but I sometimes come here to look at the discussions but I can't find an exact answer to my question: what GPU should I buy? My budget is 100 € but if it will be necessary, I'll raise it. Considering that for me it's important for games to be fast (by staying on mid-low settings) and I want to play recent games without many expectations I was thinking about AMD Radeon RX 550 but I heard it's not very good, so I'm looking for something else. My specs are these (keep in mind that I'll change some of them):
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium;
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6700 3.20Ghz;
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 8300 GS (I put this months ago because my motherboard has got an intregrated GPU but it's not good);
PSU: 450 W
Thanks!

Solution

They likely won't have upgrade options further than 8th gen. But considering that the pro4 is only 7€ more i think it's worth it over the Gigabyte board.

Which will you change?

I'd pick nothing less than the 1050 Ti 4GB.

I'm thinking about changing the PSU and the RAM for now.

Is it a kind of CPU? I looked for it on Google but I didn't understand much.

It is a processor with integrated graphics, it will be available in weeks. The chip is compatible with AM4 motherboards. Reviews are already out http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/amd-ryzen-5-2400g-zen-vega-cpu-gpu,review-34205.html

Your base system as of right now is really weak.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium;
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6700 3.20Ghz;
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 8300 GS (I put this months ago because my motherboard has got an intregrated GPU but it's not good);
PSU: 450 W

Playing recent games will require a better CPU, more RAM, and the new GPU, and probably a PSU.

The 1050Ti will probably be bottlenecked by that CPU.

I see. So I think I must change motherboard too, considering it doesn't support recent Intel CPUs. I looked at one MSI Gaming Motherboard which is 68 euro but I don't know.
Talking about CPU, is there a cheap CPU I can look for?

G4560?

It's better than what you have. Considerably better.

I would save a little more and choose the Intel i3 8100. That would give you a very long upgrade path which has its own value. It's integrated GPU is also significantly better than that 8300.

Hello

These cards perform similarly:
GTX 1050 Ti
GTX 960
GTX 670
GTX 580
R9 285
R9 280
HD 7950
HD 7870 LE (XT)
HD 5970

And will not be bottlenecked by your present CPU. However there are CPU intensive games, even CS, that would benefit from the Pentium processors performance, mentioned above. Some games run better with 4 physical cores. It all comes down to your budget and target resolution/frames.
You can keep your platform upgrade to 8GB RAM and a better graphics card or change platform investing more. Examine prices and availability in your region, and feel free to ask!

Oh, so the GTX 1050Ti won't be bottleneck... What if I take a GTX 1050 instead? Will it be bottleneck? I'm also considering about buying another motherboard. I was looking on MSI H110M GAMING socket LGA 1151 chipset H110 M-ATX, is it a good idea?

If I take the G4560, how long will it last?

As mentioned before, upgrade your whole system with the Ryzen 5 2400g. It's an APU meaning that it has both cpu and gpu built in.
It's cpu is on par with the Ryzen 5 1500X and it's gpu with the RX 550 but will likely get a lot faster with driver updates (it was released literally 2 days ago).

That's only something you can answer. For some it's just too low-end and they wouldn't buy it in the first place. For others they hold on to it for 2 or 3 years. While it would be a very good upgrade I think there's more value in the 8100.

I don't know. I must think but probably I'll go on a normal CPU... In the case, I could buy it instead.

Okay, I'll think for the 8100 then.

I'll see if I can find the 1050Ti or 780 at a good price.

For the motherboard, I was thinking about MSI H110M GAMING socket LGA 1151 chipset H110 M-ATX, is it good?

I see...

I gave a look. It's pretty good from what I saw! I'll think about it. Is it good, however, in gaming? I saw also the 1300x.

The 1300x is same as 1200 but with higher clockspeed. You can make the 1200 perform as good or better than the 1300x by overclocking.
