Hello!

I'm sorry to hit you all with such a big question, but I'm building a new computer (2nd build) with the above motherboard and an i7 8700k. Instead of using the outdated disc, I'm going to go to the Gigabyte website and put what drivers I need to install first on a thumb drive. The only thing is.... which ones will I need? I'm really interested in which chipset driver to install. They have several, but it's kinda wonky since Spectre/Meltdown.

Also, how would I go about updating my bios on my first boot-up?

Thank you so much for your help. I know that's a lot of questions. I'm just trying to move away from the install disc and make my build as painless as possible.

Here is the website (Windows 10 64 bit): https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z370-AORUS-Gaming-5-rev-10#support-dl

the only driver you really need is the LAN driver just in case windows 10 can't find a drivers for it leaving you without an internet connection after the install. after you are connected to the internet windows update should find almost every other driver for you. according to that link for your mobo though you should update the BIOS before installing the chipset drivers and intel ME driver. its been a while since i been in a gigabyte BIOS but there should be a section in the BIOS where you can updaqte it with a USB drive, but to be sure check the motherboard manual to be sure
