Hello everyone, I'm building a new system, its going to have an i7 7700k, Asus B250F strix mobo (I know I can't overlock but the 7700k is £6 more than the regular 7700 is clocked higher and couldnt turn down the pricing gap) and 16gb of ddr4 corsair 2666mhz ram, the question is do I grab a brand new 6gb GTX 1060 for £300 - £330 or a GTX 980ti from Ebay for £400-450? I'm only going to be playing 1080p gaming and video editing and rendering, at the time of posting I have a GTX 780ti Ghz edition but its measly 3gb of V-ram just doesnt seem to cut it for most games anymore, I'm sure this has been asked many times but from the posts I've seen there isn't really a clear answer, thanks in advance

Solution
the 980ti is significantly faster then the 1060; however never buy a used GPU. that's like burning your own money as a hobby.

And a 1060 for £300 is about £100 too much. Wait until the mining craze is over before you drop your money on a gpu.

I was just searching other posts and others recommend waiting for Volta instead of paying for cards now?

So should I just wait for Volta instead? Surely if I start saving now I'll have enough to grab the high end card, I mean I was gonna save up for about 3 weeks, to get the whole system (not including the gpu) so maybe volta could be the best bet?
