Setup I am using right now :
1.MSI X99A SLI PLUS
2.CPU Intel i7 6900K
3.RAM Corsair Vengenece LPX 8x8GB 2666 MHz CL16
4.Cooler SilentiumPc Grandis 2
5.SSD Transcend 370S 256GB Sata 3
6.SSD Samsung Evo 850 1TB Sata 3
7. GTX 1060 6GB Windforce x2
8. Phanteks Enthoo Pro M
9. EVGA SuperNova G2 650W GOLD

I am using it only to capture other PC's and inputs through NDI and PCIe cards. Right now my problem is that the CPU doesn't allow me to stream to 2 different servers with good quality (fast/medium h.264 presets). Can someone advise me what CPU is the best for h.264 encoding and should I swap anything else in my setup?

Solution
With an unlimited budget, the strongest processor available today will be the I9-7960X.
It has a passmark rating of 26497. threadripper 1950x is 22099.
Here is a direct comparison:

Note that there are separate numbers for stock and overclocked.
As I read it, threadripper needs an overclock to draw even with I9-7960X

It is a free option.
Overclocking is a bit of a misnomer.
It involves raising the multiplier in the bios from the default 32 to a higher number.
A 15% boost seems reasonable, more if you were lucky in getting a well binned chip.
Here is a guide:

If you have a good budget and are looking to upgrade the whole rig there are some options.
It is not clear to me how many threads your apps can effectively use, or how important the single thread performance is.
Ryzen threadripper offers many threads, I9-7900X offers more single thread speed.
Both have about the same total capability with passmark ratings about 22,000
By comparison, your i7-6900K is around 17,700

I have unlimited budget as I am trying to get the best results I can for 1080p60 streaming. I am using vMix, where I can choose how many threads will be used to encode video so I am looking purely on encoding capabilities. Should I use Threadripper 1950X then?
