I built this computer with a buddy a couple of years ago and it has been running fine until now. I turned on the computer and the monitor said no signal detected.

I tried plugging the monitor into the motherboard and it worked fine, so the cable and monitor itself are not the problem.

The fans are spinning on my GPU and I tried switching the slot it's plugged into on the mobo, but nothing changed.

GPU: Nvidia GTX 970
Mobo: Gigabyte z97x

I have a 780GTX doing the same thing. Problem is, warranty is up and Im stuck with $600 paper weight.

If its still under warranty I would sent it back.

Others might suggest disassembling it and sticking it in the oven for 10 minutes at 390F to reflow the solder. Again, i tried on mine and it...

^ It's just out of warranty and I'm going to pass on trying to bake it. Thanks for the quick response, guess I'll start shopping for a new GPU :(
