I have a Gigabyte AORUS ultra gaming rev 1.0 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z370-AORUS-Ultra-Gaming-rev-10#support-dl) and when i looked at compatible RAM for it (16GB, 3000Mhz) i can never find the exact details listed on their manual when i look online on amazon or wherever.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/G-SKILL-F4-3000C15D-16GTZR-Trident-PC4-24000-Channel/dp/B01MZ8R8AJ/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1518473681&sr=1-4&keywords=g.skill+16gb+3000mhz - I'm looking at this RAM and unsure if compatible, their are very similar codes/numbers listed on the G.SKILL section but i can never find the 100% accurate ones if that makes sense.

can anyone shed some light on how to tell if theyre compatible? or even take a look for me or better yet actually link me some compatible RAM ? :)

thanks very much.

On the motherboards page under specifications for Memory it has the following listed as compatible. Support for DDR4 4000(O.C.) / 3866(O.C.) / 3800(O.C.) / 3733(O.C.) / 3666(O.C.) / 3600(O.C.) / 3466(O.C.) / 3400(O.C.) / 3333(O.C.) / 3300(O.C.) / 3200(O.C.) / 3000(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666 / 2400 / 2133 MHz memory modules This means any DDR4 sticks within the rated speed (so 2133 MHz to 4000MHz) is compatable, since your kit is DDR4 and a compatible speed it should work fine.

At least with G.Skill, the exact part number isn't important, what's important is the breakdown which will tell you what sticks are good, for example, the F4 is DDR4, 3000C15D is 3000 Mhz at 15 CL (CAS Latency) D = Dual kit (2 sticks in the kit), in the next part of the part number is the total size of the kit, here 16Gb, the GTZ is color specefic as well as the kind of Ripjaws/Trident, whatnot. If you get the right size with the right mhz with the right CL, you'll be all right. The differences after that are color.
