Boomstand vs Tripod

Hello all,

I recently ordered a Rode NT-USB and I am just wondering if the included tripod will be enough or if I should invest in a boomstand with a shock mount? What are some of the advantages to both methods?

Just work with what you have ordered for awhile.

Learn what works and what does not work. If not working - you may figure out other ways to solve the problem.

If the tripod etc. is enough to meet your requirements then fine.

If not - then proceed with the boomstand/shock mount purchase.
