Forcing my brother printer to accept generic cartridges?

So I have this brother printer and I was trying to get it to use these ink repacements but it won't accept. How can I bypass my printers restrictions so I can use them? Because I opened them, I don't think I can get a refund.

You can transfer the fluid into old catriges if they can be opened.

i did remove that little chip thingy on the top of the genuine cartridge, but the printer still couldn't recognize the non-generic brand
