I have had this NetGear WNDA 3100v2 N600 Wireless adapter for quite a while now, I have had this problem for a while as well, but it usually fixes and doesn't happen after a couple days. Here recently anytime I try to download something, or sometimes just play online games it just stops working, I time out. I use TS3, so I wait to hear "Connection Lost".
I usually have to remove the adapter and put back in.

Now When I time out of TS I have to wait a few seconds cause my PC doesn't even recognize that I removed the adapter. I am 98% sure I have updated drivers. I am not sure what would cause this, but it's getting annoying.

Edit: According to Device Manager, I currently have the "5.100.68.48" drivers.

It sounds like you don't have the best connection to your access point/router. When you try to send data back and forth on a continual basis (downloading, games, videos too, I bet) you start to get a high error rate and the connection tries to reset.
Is this a laptop or a desktop? If it's a laptop and you move closer to your access point/router, does this problem go away?
Is the adapter stuck up against a wall or in a corner? Wifi signal decreases the more stuff it has to go through.
Are there things around that can cause interference (cordless phone, microwave, tv, etc)?

Yo, sorry for the late response, but I am 100% sure its got nothing to do with connectivity issues, I believe there is something internally shutting the adapter off

Internally? Then I would think about the device being put to sleep and not properly waking up (USB selective suspend in your power profile). This is possible, but not likely if it is happening in the middle of a download. It's more like something that would happen when you walk away for 15 minutes and then the internet does not work anymore.

The other possibility is a faulty piece of hardware ... you don't happen to another adapter you could test with?

It is definitely not connection. My internet is perfectly fine. Constant 8 MB/s. It only drops when I try to download games, it will download sometimes all the way through no problem. Then there are times when it cuts off several times causing a download that should only take 5 minutes to take 45.
