Ok I've been having this problem since the first week I build my computer back in December last year. I'll be browsing or playing a game and then I get a weird zapping sound that I hear from my headphones. It happens maybe around once per 3 hours and when it happens, My fps drops significantly and It "zaps" around for 3 seconds.

I have updated my GPU, CPU, and OS as of today, and the problem persists. If anyone has any knowledge that can help me, It would be appreciated.

- My components
CPU: Ryzen 3 1200 at 3.1 ghz
GPU: Nvidia 1060 3gb Evga model
Motherboard: MSI b350 Tomahawk
PSU: 550 evga watt bronze certified
RAM: 2x4 GB of Corsair Vengeance at 2667 speed (3200mhz is the advertised speed)

I have my headphones plugged into my case I/O.
Ok, so I've tried to put my ram speeds higher before, but I felt like I was having issues when playing. I would get some blue screens "Unexpected_kernel_mode_trap". And I'm afraid to set it higher because I thought it would last longer.

Ok I think it’s been narrowed down to your RAM then since you’re getting BSOD’s at the stock settings. Do you have an overclock for your CPU?

Also, you can try clearing your CMOS as that may remove any bugs in the BIOS.

My CPU is at stock speed at 3.1 GHz. I rarely see it over 95% in task manager unless im stress testing it for cinebench. I believe it might be the ram because the MSI website configuration list is so bad to understand I'm not sure if it's even compatible.

I just reset the CMOS and it went back to the stock settings at 2667, I have it set to 1.25v where the package say's I should have it at 1.35v. That might the problem, but wouldn't lower voltage lead to less stress on the memory?

I also notice when increasing the mhz speed on the ram causes my cpu temperatures to rise. My cpu temperatures at idle with no increase is around 30-35c at 2667 mhz. And 40-45c at 3000 mhz.

Could this be a motherboard issue? I tried everything to stop this and only at stock settings I don't see this happening. I know people say the lpx corsair vengeance are not certified for the b350 motherboards but people on youtube and the community have been able to get stable speeds. I have stress test the memory and were stable at 3000mhz but only in certain times I will see a random bsod.
