Hello I recently built a new PC and when I turn it on first msi's ez debug shows vga on start up and boot at shut down I had the pc working before I put the card in and the card and everything else lights up and turns on just it doesn't post and I don't think it boots correctly

GTX 980ti
I5 8600k
600w psu
Msi sli plus z370 Mobo
Phantome full at case
Single 8gb stick of ram
Water-cooled
I at first didn't have the right cables so I used a 8 pin pci e off a coirsair psu instead of evga's 8pin pcie
