I've been thinking of selling my pc and build a new one maybe around the time when the GPU prices goes down.

So how much would this pc be?

Specs:
Processor: Intel i5 4690k 3.4 ghz
Ram: 16 gb ddr3
GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 SSC 2gb
Mobo: Asus H81M-D
Power Supply: Corsair CX430M

Solution
1. Considering I just saw 1060 6Gb SSC at Microcenter in store 2 days ago at 439$.
2. The i5-4690K alone sells on eBay pretty consistently between 150-175$
3. the H81M-D sells anywhere between 35$ and 75$ on EBay.
4, 16GB DDR3 (assuming 2 Sticks since you have the H81M-D) and considering 1600 Mhz highest speed motherboard can handle.
EBay again sees those selling for 80$-150$ depending on brand.
5. Corsair CX430M is a very basic PSu, and new cost less than 40$ so worthless used.

So the price range I finds 439+150+35+80+0 = 704$ Low through 439+175+75+150+0 = 839$ High best price

And yes sold separately will raise more monies than selling it as a complete unit. which I would list for 600$.
Maybe $800(optimistic). This assumes there's a HDD and OS.

That 1060 has 6GB of VRAM.

I think you're over-complicating things. Keep what you have and continue saving for a 1080 Ti. The 4690K is still a desirable gaming CPU. Prices deflated for about couple weeks or so back in December. Deflation or a correction isn't mandatory.

Some cases you're probably better off stripping the parts and selling those. You'll definitely get more money for the GPU with the market the way it currently is. But you're more likely to get more money for individual parts than you are for the system as a whole.

That would get you more money.

If you want to sell the whole thing,Lets be fair.700-800 USD.

If you sell the system as a whole, keep in mind that you will not get the full value for it. Depreciation (value of the wear and tear) must be taken into account when you sell it. Yeah I know the GPU shortage has turned the market on its' ear - and you can probably get more money for just the GPU. And I will say out of experience that it is very difficult to sell a full rig on eBay. Don't think you will list it and expect it to magically sell.
