Okay so I already had an SSD and a HDD set up and today I received another HDD to add to my system however I planned to reset EVERYTHING on my machine and start fresh. I thought I would reset my SSD first and just reinstall Windows on it. After the installation was completed in set the boot device as my SSD (as I used a USB to install Windows from) and when I did that and tried to boot. I would get a message that says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". I have already tried making sure all cables are in place. I've also tried setting the SSD (the one with Windows on it) to be the 1st boot option as mentioned earlier and still no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Solution
The Windows installer most likely detected a boot partition on the HDD and didn't make the primary partition on the SSD a bootable partition. Classic beginner's mistake.

Correct.

Also, if your using a conventional 2.5in. form factor SSD then make sure it is connected to SATA port 0 on your motherboard. This ensures that if the CMOS settings ever revert back to default settings the SSD will always be the default boot drive without you having to go into the BIOS settings to manually set it.

Okay I should have said this first but... It does work when I select the option (windows boot manager) if this works fine then should I leave it or does it indicated something went wrong? Thanks again.

What is the brand and model of the motherboard and SSD?

What Windows Operating System version are you using?

What are your current BIOS settings for the following? Did you leave them at their Default values?

Windows 8/10 Features
Allows you to select the operating system to be installed. (Default: Other OS)

CSM Support
Enables or disables UEFI CSM (Compatibility Support Module) to support a legacy PC boot process.
>> Enabled Enables UEFI CSM. (Default)
>> Disabled Disables UEFI CSM and supports UEFI BIOS boot process only.
This item is configurable only when Windows 8/10 Features is set to Windows 8/10 or Windows 8/10 WHQL.

I'm using Windows 10 Home 64 bit and the settings are default. The only thing that I've got here is the boot option where number one is "Windows Boot Manager (PO: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB) the other option is "PO: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB" however as already mentioned the second one does not work but the first one does.

Did you create the Partition 2? I would expect to see something like the following (Ignore the Unallocated partition in this example. It is being used for Over Provisioning):

Ignore what I said about your Disk 0 partition 2.

Your picture shows that the SSD has the correct three partitions.

Because your BIOS settings for BOOT are set to their defaults then "Windows Boot Manager (PO: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB)" is the correct option.
