Wi-Fi/Bluetooth interference when adapters are connected at the rear I/O or directly to the motherboard

So I have 3 adapters, a PCI-E Wi-Fi card, a USB Wi-Fi dongle, and a USB Bluetooth dongle.

With the PCI-E card, I get occasional lag spikes when gaming, and its the same with the USB Wi-Fi dongle plugged in at the rear I/O. Interestingly, I get the same problem with the Bluetooth dongle plugged in at the back, but instead my DS4 controller disconnects.

Because of this I have to use the two USB ports in the front I/O for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

I have no idea why this is happening. Any thoughts?

Would suspect some interference.

Try using USB extension cables to raise the USB devices up and away from the rear I/O ports. Once out from behind, move the devices around some - up/down/left right. Just try different orientations and locations for a few days. See if the lag spikes diminish.

USB devices can become problematic as they age. Carefully feel them from time to time as you work. They can get quite warm and even very hot. Generally do not last very long thereafter.
