After installing a new cooler (Kraken x62) onto my 7600k in the z270-f mobo from asus, it wouldn't boot.
I soon noticed that ram slot 3 and 4 do not work at all. Running my 2x8 kit in slot 1 and 2 works just fine.

But even a single stick in 3 or 4 causes it to not work.

I figured i might aswell attatch a picture of the cpu socket to check for any bent pins. I can't see any but let me know if you find any.

Well try setting the voltage with a stick at a time, make sure they are in the correct slots as well. If all else fails then you might have to buy a new motherboard. Good luck.

The scratch on the motherboard is probably not the cause of your issue. Did you nick your ram slots? Are you sure that this happened after your cpu cooler installation? My best guess is that it’s a motherboard problem.

I would assume so too, i can't be sure though, i am not 100% certain the new cooler's installation is when it happend, but it was running in dual channel before the cooler was installed. I did not touch my ram slots at all either.
