Gpu on PCI-E x16 (wired as x4)?

Solution
One of the posters on here was using a flexible riser in his low-profile PC similar you yours. He seemed satisfied with the results. But every situation is different. Might be something to check out if it would work.

Depends on the PCIe version supported by the motherboard/CPU. If it only has PCIe 2.0 or older that may well affect performance significantly. 4 lanes of PCIe 2.0 is basically equivalent to 2 lanes of PCIe 3.0. I haven't seen benchmarks but I'd bet that would be a pretty big bottleneck. Also, sometimes a slot with 4 PCIe lanes uses the chipset's PCIe lanes meaning again, it might be a problem. What CPU is this Dell system using?

PCIe 2.0... Even though the CPU is a bottleneck, I think the 4 PCI 2.0 lanes is the bigger bottleneck. What is in the legacy PCI slot that is blocking you from using the graphics card in the proper x16 slot? You really want that 1050ti in the proper slot.

Nothing is in there i just can't put the graphics card in there because it in the last slot and its a dual width gpu so if i were to put it in the slot it belongs the bracket would have no place
