I cut the top copper pipe on my Coolmaster Hyper 212 Evo.

So after I was done installing the Hyper 212 Evo onto my motherboard, I saw that the glass panel for my Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-04 wouldn't fit since the top copper pipes were in the way. I screwed all of the bracket screws down to the maximum, and so I just cut the top pipes off. Do I need to buy a new one, or can I fix it?

(I've soldered the cut parts at the top off and I'm generally unsure if it is safe?)

The good news is that 212Evo is fairly cheap. The copper pipes are what transfers the heat, so if you just want it for looks and not cooling it's fine that you cut it off.

And I fixed the title of the thread, when you do something on purpose it really isn't accidental.

I bought the Cryorig H7, but it looks like it won't fit. Note that I didn't put it on the motherboard yet.
