Did I upgrade right (H110 / G4560 -> B350 / R5 1600)?

I started with an office plus light gaming PC that I had built not too long ago on a 400€ budget with cheap H110 mobo, G4560, 2x4GB DDR4-2400 cheap Crucial RAM, GT 1030, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD and 300W PSU. I wasn't happy with the GPU (I originally wanted to cut down on gaming, you know how it is) because I couldn't play all games in my Steam library (1080p) and it got super hot on account of it being passively cooled. So when I saw a 1050 TI for 180€ I jumped and got it. Now I could play all games in my library but on some games like AC: O the CPU was already lacking. I was thinking about a i5-7500 but it cost the same as a R5 1600 which is way more future proof and since I paid less than 100€ for mobo/CPU combined I figured I might as well upgrade both. Got the 1600 and a ASRock AB350M Pro 4 with a new 500W modular PSU from Be quiet! and a better cooler for OCing. Now I did not get new RAM because prices are stupid atm and I will see if I can OC the RAM to 2666MHz at least when I OC the CPU so something like 3.8GHz. I paid 378€ shipped.
