i have a ? here on the site http://thebottlenecker.com/ I put in my specs

Cpu intel i5 6500
Gpu 1060 there are 3 types 1060, 1060 3gb, 1060 with max q design
Ram 8gb
Ssd M.2

the max q design there is no bottleneck. the other 1060 has over 10% bottleneck and the 3gb 1060 has over 10% aswell. What is max q design. I do not have the money for a 1070. so a 1060 is in my budget range. Its a upgrade from the gtx 750ti

I play all sorts of games ranging from Cod, Gta v, Medal gear solid, tomb raider, etc

any help much appreciated thanks

Solution
1060 Max-Q is a laptop variation. I would get a 1060 6gb if possible. 10% bottleneck is barely anything and chances are good you won't be bottlenecking your parts at all. In order to bottleneck, one part has to be pegged at 100% while the other is being 'held back' by the lower-tier component. The i5 6500 is extremely unlikely to hit 100% which means your GPU can go full blast, which is good for gaming.

Get a 1060 6gb and be happy with it. Bottlenecking isn't a problem unless you have massive gaps in hardware, like pairing a Pentium G4560 with a 1080Ti.

Solution
i5 wont bottleneck a 1060 regardless of the brand or vram config.
im not sure who gave you the 10% bottleneck number but there wrong. there may be an occasional game thats cpu bound that may not push the gpu to 100% but that would be a rare game and more likely down to poor coding than the hardware.

so yeah as long as your not trying to run on a teeny tiny screen (less than 720p) your not gonna have a bottleneck issue even if you oc any of them cards.

depends, on a game like BF1 his cpu would indeed bottleneck
