Low FPS after replacing Motherboard battery

Hello everyone

Today, I replaced the motherboard battery to check if it is what causes my pc freezing and restarting (it restarts while gaming, in the first 5 minutes only, temps are fine)

But it seems that the performance had downgraded so much after replacing the battery, FPS is hugely dropped by half or so, I checked BIOS and CPU clocks and voltage, they are as usual.

Any one knows the solution of this problem?

Solution

I uninstalled nvidia drivers, and reinstalled them again, the problem seems gone now.

Thanks for everyone, it was a GPU issue not CPU as I thought before, fresh install for drivers solved the issue. Thank you again.

I don’t know but it seems more stable now, I still get the low performance in cpu-bound games, I tried to overclock the cpu but still low fps I get.

The motherboard is Gigabyte Z68AP-D3.

No I just removed the CMOS and place the new one. yeah that's why I checked every single BIOS value and rechecked them again, everything is fine. mine is Gigabyte Z68AP-D3

MSI GTX 970
i5-2500k@3.30
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
Evga g2 650w
8 ddr3 ram

Yeah I’m sure, no game will be working if I plugged it to mobo gpu as it lacks dx11 support.

it was around 50s before replacing the battery, and I checked the power plan, it's set to ultra performance.

Yup the same, when I checked gpu power, it was around %70, while gpu usage 99%

I lowered the resolution to 720p and the detaila to very low, still the usage is 99%
