I didn't succeed. This PC can hardly play 4K. The Xbox One X hardly plays 4K as well though. Here's a secret they probably don't want you to know. In the more demanding games the resolution is dynamically controlled. The resolution might be 4K sometimes but in the more demanding scenarios it might be 2560x1440 or even lower. Also it could be a checkerboarded 4K or even 3K checkerboarded in some cases. Also as USAFRet said you can do other things on a PC as well as gaming. On PC you can customize your gaming experience to your own liking whereas sometimes you can adjust some settings on console but it's very limited. Don't like the Xbox OS? On PC you can use a ton of customizable frontends and there is also steam big picture mode. If you don't like steam big picture mode there is launchbox big box mode, hyperspin, and lots more that I don't even know about. If you use a good frontend and a controller you can make PC gaming very much like using a console. Also you can just use keyboard and mouse on the regular desktop and use a controller for the games after you launch them. The point of PC is you can pretty much do whatever you want.
Also there is the cost of gaming on Xbox. I'd imagine you'd keep the console 3 to 5 years. That's an extra $180 to $300 for Xbox live which is almost mandatory at this point. There's also the cost of games. If you buy 4 new games a year that's $240 a year. You'll pay almost half that on PC if you know where to look to buy the games. So let's say you'll save an extra $60 a year on games. That's another extra $180 to $300 you'll pay on Xbox. So really you're paying an extra $400+ realistically on Xbox One X than you'd pay on PC. So the true cost of it is about $900 to $1100.
So although the initial upfront cost is higher on PC you save money in the end on PC and there are so many benefits that go along with just having a PC. It is definitely worth it to pay that higher initial upfront cost.
