Hello, I'm currently using a 90PA06Q0-M0XBN0 Asus Evo2 M52BC AMD Desktop Motherboard. I want to upgrade my CPU to something better withing the FX Range. What is the most reliable and compatible cpu to work with my motherboard.

Solution
That should be the same as the ASUS M5A97 motherboard as far as CPU support, so it should support any FX CPU up to an FX-8350. It may need a bios update in order to do so though.

An FX-8320 has the exact same 8 core configuration, with a slightly lower base clock, and can be overclocked to higher than FX-8350 performance levels with a decent cooler. It it usually also less expensive. That would be my recommendation unless you can get an 8350 for a good price.

Edit: Actually that board does not have heatsinks on the VRMs. I would not suggest using anything higher than an FX 8320 and I would not suggest trying to overclock on it. An FX-6300 would be a safer bet.

What is your current CPU model?

My current CPU model is an AMD FX 4300. Also, would I be able to get a AMD FX 8300? Furthermore, would the AMD fx 8300 or AMD fx 6300 have any bottle necking for the
GeForce GTX 1050 Gigabyte Windforce OC 2GB?

An FX-8300 SHOULD work on that board, but again, I'm not sure it's a good idea due to the fact that the 8 core chips have a substantially higher TDP (Heat/Power) than the 6 core chips. Better would be an FX-6300 or FX-6350. You would certainly be better off with any of those, whether it is an 8 or 6 core, than with what you have now. With a six or 8 core FX chip you should not really see any problems when paired with a GTX 1050.
