I just installed a new SSD I had the old hdd unplugged but I didn’t unplug the disk drive or e SATA plugs could that have caused a problem? Every time I try to boot up with the ssd it always goes to the old HDD. I installed windows 10 from usb to the ssd and it’s also still on the hdd is this the problem? I want to use my SSD as the boot drive and for my heavy load video games and the hdd for extra storage can anyone help please?

I don't really understand this part "I had the old hdd unplugged but I didn’t unplug the disk drive or e SATA plugs could that have caused a problem"

and"I installed windows 10 from usb to the ssd and it’s also still on the hdd is this the problem?"

No.

but...

Have you gone into the BIOS and set it to boot from the SSD?
