Ok everyone Hi
I have an Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz single stick in my computer
I want to buy another Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz
Am on a budget
Am going to buy Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600mhz 240 pin the same as the 8gb
So my Question is will it work scene my 8GB stick is 1600mhz
and the one am going to buy is 1600mhz but its a 4GB

Solution
Short answer, maybe. There are NEVER any guarantees when the memory is not purchased together. Probably, it will work, if the voltage and timings are similar. Your best bet is to get another stick that is the exact same model/part number as the one you have now, just with a lower capacity. If you run CPU-Z or look on the sticker of your memory module, you should be able to get the part number of your memory, then search for that model but in a lower capacity. Or better by far would be to get another EXACTLY like it, 8GB, so that it can run in dual channel which doubles the memory bandwidth.

Long answer, this will tell you most of what you need to know regarding almost any basic memory question, and a few not so basic ones...
