Hello guys, my Touro Mobile Pro External Drive J just turned into a RAW Drive. It asked me to format the drive before using it but, i will lose all data i need for school. The cause might be a system error because, a Blue Screen occurred while the drive was plugged in. I'm asking if it's still possible to recover some 4-5 gb files from the drive. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Do not format it. Odds are you'd be able to recover your data (using pretty much any data recovery software)
So give some of em a go. (Do note however that provided the data is recoverable - recovering it to the same drive is not an option!!)
The files would have to be recovered into another drive (which has a sufficient amount of free space)
You can use filesystem recovery and disk recovery software to try and fix it. Depending on how valuable the data is to you, consider cloning the drive first. Then you can try to recover it using multiple methods worry free. If you have a backup just use that to restore the data. If it's extremely valuable you can ship your HDD to places where professionals can do the work but it could be very expensive.

Parted magic has many free linux tools ready to use and you can boot from USB.

Hey,so i tried using EaseUS Data recovery. It did recognize my hard drive but, it hasn't found any files. It was scanning for about 3 hours and nothing has come up.
