I went from the 8350 to a 1600 and for the games I currently play there was not a huge difference in fps, but the games feel smoother because the fps are more consistent. I was using a gtx 1070 with the 8350 and I am still using that same card now. Yes the 8350 was holding the 1070 back, but I was getting well over 60 fps and that is so much overkill for 1080 gaming, but I play on 3 screens at 5760 x 1080 and that is where I notice the difference between the 8350 and 1600. I have every box in the video options for War Thunder ticked to max and still maintain 60fps in matches across the 3 screens. I was not able to do that with the 8350.
