Hello, basically since I got my new pc, whenever I'm playing GTA v and I'm in nature my fps drops from 60+ (v-sync on) to circa 40, somewhen even less. I use the "optimal" GeForce experience graphic settings. What do I do? It really bugs me out when I spent 2k on pc and it can't run Gta's nature properly.

Specs:
GTX 1080
i7-7700k
16gb RAM

Solution
- Try disabling Vsync in game and enable it using nVIDIA control panel.

- Try setting grass down to low and see if that impacts shuddering. Very important to eliminate that as the issue.

- Try turning down to minimum Extended Distance Scaling, Extended Shadows Distance, Shadow Quality to minimum, one at a time.

- Try turning MXAA off.

- What is your display resolution?

- What is your FPS with Vsync off?

- In nVIDIA control panel, set image quality to "Let the 3D application device". In Geforce Experience, set it to high performance. See if this effects FPS.

Turn down the Grass Quality setting, Ultra grass will absolutely tank your FPS and even the high setting can be pretty demanding. Also check to make sure that GeForce Experience didn't set your resolution to something higher than your monitor via DSR. GeForce Experience's defaults often will throw DSR on when you have a higher end card, even when running at really high resolutions might prevent you from hitting a consistent 60FPS. You're better off tweaking graphics settings yourself.

I have around 70-100fps with v-sync off, res. QWHD and also i have grass on high (not utra nor very high). I'll try it with the "Let the 3D application device" on.
