Best gpu for Q9650

Hello
soon I'm gonna upgrade my pc to:
Q9650 (Gonna overclock it to 3.5 or higher)
8GB ddr2
please tell me a good and cheap GPU for this pc that i can play pubg and csgo or r6 on 720p and low or medium settings
my native resolution is 1280x1024 and i will play only 720p and native or 1024x768 when i really need it
i don't have much money and i will only buy used parts

I'd look for a used R9 380, or a GTX 960 if I were you. Anything more than those would likely be overkill for your processor. Obviously anything less would be fine, for example, if the 960/380 isn't in your price range, a GT 760 or a HD7870 would be fine. Essentially, just go for the best you can afford under the 960/380 range.

EDIT: PubG is gonna be tough to play with a lesser processor, though with the settings you're saying you'll play on, I think it would be fine as long as you overclock the Q9650.

You can't play any of those games since you are quite a bit below min spec for both.

how much fps do you think i will get on games?
can i stream with this pc at a low bitrate if i overclock my cpu more?

You can maybe get pubg to run at 30 with a huge oc (most likely just 20fps and below) and siege will run at 30 fps most of the time with a good oc.

This is not actually true. A Core 2 Quad with 8GB of RAM exceeds the minimum specs for at least CS:GO, which calls for a Core 2 Duo with 2GB RAM. CS:GO is not a particularly demanding game.

It also exceeds the minimum requirements for Rainbow Six: Siege, which call for a Phenom 945 with 6GB of RAM. These games might not run "great", and I certainly wouldn't expect a solid 60 FPS, but they will likely be playable, so long as they have Windows 7 or newer.

As for PUBG, it tends to be rather demanding on CPUs, so I wouldn't expect it to run particularly well, but the minimum requirements do only call for an FX-6300, which isn't too much faster than a Q9650. Overclocked, that processor should just about match the FX-6300's stock performance.

Rainbow six on it's min spec runs poorly at around 30 fps (dips below it when something explodes almost always). Pubg is basically unplayable on a core 2 quad unles running at 4ghz + which is not easy to get too.

OP's talking about running in 720p or lower if the situation calls for it. a Q9650 isn't gonna perform great on those games, but CSGO would absolutely be playable with those specs. PUBG is gonna be rough, but probably still "playable" (depends on if you call 20-30 fps playable), and I wouldn't know about R6 Siege, i have no experience with that.

Siege is a rough one. It runs stable at 30 or above on weaker processors but the moment a fight happens it slows down to a crawl which you can't have happen in that game.

Some people are okay with running games at around 30fps though. Most console games tend to run at that frame rate, and that's likely the performance floor they used for determining these minimums. And the fact remains that the listed hardware actually exceeds the minimum specs for at least two of the three games listed, and comes close for the third. You're likely to run into occasional performance hiccups in a game like Siege or PUBG with a Core 2 Quad, but the games should be playable. Looking up some gameplay videos just now running on that hardware, the games seem to run relatively well, considering the age of the processor. Their performance is certainly getting CPU-limited much of the time, but I can't say I noticed it "slowing to a crawl" during firefights at any point in the Siege videos I skimmed through. Maybe on a dual-core processor that becomes more of a problem, but performance on the Q9650 seemed alright enough, so long as someone isn't expecting to always maintain 60 FPS.

As for the initial question, I agree with Slumy that something in the range of a GTX 960, or maybe a 950 would likely be fine. An R9 380 might be a bit too power hungry if the system's PSU happens to be low-end though.

My Friend with Q9550 and gt 1030 and 6gb ddr3 gets 40fps on 720p medium pubg with no oc
