Ok, so they are both DDR3, 1.5v modules. Should be at least minimally compatible on the same platform. Even though the specs on the motherboard specifications page only shows support up to 1600mhz, the QVL list (Which does not mean that ONLY the listed modules will work, only that THOSE ones were actually tested on that board) shows support for 2400mhz modules.
Those modules are not on the QVL list, but that doesn't mean they can't work on that board necessarily. The biggest problem I see is that all of the higher speed modules shown to work on that board are 1.6v or higher, not 1.5v. That could be a problem.
I would try to simply get the system working again using the 1600mhz modules for now, using the method I listed above.
Was there anything else you did during this entire process that you have not mentioned? You didn't try to remove any modules while the system was powered on, or had the CPU out of the socket, or any other thing that could have created a problem?
