Intel G2020 problem

Hi guys. I have a problem. I have an Intel Pentium G2020 processor and two Dell DH67M01 motherboards with LGA1155. This isn't the first G2020 i tried with these two motherboards.
When i install the cpu, the pc powers up by itself. It doesn't boot at all. When it powers up it's only for a fraction of a second. And it did the exact same thing with the other G2020 cpu i tried to install on these boards. The boards work just fine. I have another 1155 processor, an Intel G645 that works just fine on both boards. Unfortunately i don't have a different board with LGA1155 socket to test the cpu with.

Now, my question is, does the DH67M01 motherboard support the G2020 cpu ?

I can't find any detailed manuals or documentation on the board itself. When you google dh67m01, all that pops up is the Dell XPS8300...

Solution
The G645 CPU is a Sandy Bridge architecture. The G2020 is Ivy Bridge and apparently there were never any bios updates to enable that motherboard to run Ivy Bridge CPUs.
Those are flip chip LGA 1155 CPUs (FCLGA 1155), and they may not work with a board that came out before those were released and were not designed to support them. Physically, they are the same as LGA 1155 but in most cases are newer with a slightly different design. There must be bios support for them. I will try to determine if bios support for that CPU is present on that board or any updated bios version.

Do you HAVE a Dell XPS 8300? If not, what is the model number of your system? Is there an express service tag number? Should be some kind of service tag identifier somewhere on the tower unless this board has been somehow moved to a different case, which is unlikely since these are usually proprietary motherboards.

Hi. No, i don't have an XPS 8300. All i have are the two boards. They were a part of XPS 8300 towers that my brother had but he sold most of the parts. And all that is left are these two boards.

What BIOS version is currently installed on these boards? You should be able to find this with the CPU that does work installed. I will tell you now that bios support for any cpus aside from a handful of those that actually CAME in versions of the XPS 8300 is very limited. I'm surprised by the fact that you can boot with the G645 installed because I am not seeing it on the list of initial CPUs that were supported on that board which leads me to suspect that the bios HAS already been updated, but that the update did not include support for the CPU model you are trying to use.

Either that, or both those CPUs are simply not any good. Knowing the bios version will tell us something at least.

Bios version installed is A06. And on the dell website, that is the latest version for the XPS8300. Couldn't find bios version specifically for the motherboard. Only the tower.

Sorry for the delay. Had to pick my mom up. I was browsing the dell support forum and there were rumors of A07 bios update for the xps 8300 but that it wasn't officially released. But they were saying of a way to extract A07 bios from the A06 somehow. Anyway, thank you @darkbreeze and @spdragoo for your help. I`ll have to find another cpu for the board.
