Hey, Names Bryan and I have been building my own pc. Everything is working great but on first boot up I can't get into BIOS because I can't seem to get my keyboard to work. I have tried every usb port but everyone I try nothing seems to want to function on my keyboard. I also have tried 2 other usb keyboards. I am running msi Tomahawk z370 with Intel i7 8700k EVGA geforce gtx 1060 16gb ddr4. Please let me know if there is any other information needed. Thank you.

Are you using the 'delete' key to enter the bios setup screen? Also, try plugging the keyboard into the upper left USB port on the back of the motherboard. Sometimes bios will only recognize a certain USB port initially until 'legacy usb device' support is selected in the bios options. Does the boot continue past the bios and search for an operating system?

Yes I have tried putting it in this slot also the one to the right of it. They are both usb 2.0 and they both give no sign of functioning. Also windows 10 is recognized from the hard drive and it will load past the bios options and go to the main log in screen to access the computer.

If you have a ps2 device available, definitely worth a shot. That is very likely to solve the issue, then when you are in the bios settings, find an option to enable USB devices at startup. Alternatively, you can try to do a hard shutdown (with the power button), and see if that allows you to access the bios. Sometimes fast-boot can make it difficult to get in, and shutting down the computer in an 'unsafe state' will bypass the fast-boot flags.

Alrighty I have an update on this situation. I am able to use a ps/2 keyboard but this is the only thing that works. In BIOS and after being able to log into my system while on windows 10. I have tried several usb solutions but non seem to work out for me. One main thing I can't seem to fix is the xHCI port that keeps saying it's failed with error code 10. I have tried using MSI main page to update it but it still keeps with saying it's failed with the same error code.
