so i have a system with an evga 750 gold power supply and it has 4 a 8 pin pcie connections i am running a gigabyte g1 gaming 980ti and a evga 1070 ftw hybrid but i want to add an evga gtx 1060 ssc graphics card .

So my question is how can i get another 8 pin pcie power connect for the 1060 . i figure i would be drawing 600 watts peak probably a little lower .

My idea was to get a dual molex to 8 pin pcie adapter as i still have sata and molex slots available on the psu .

But instead of drawing all the wattage from just 1 molex connection from the psu i was thinking of getting half the power from molex and the other half of power to the 8 pin splitter from a sata connection by getting a seta to molex adapter.

Thoughts ideas ?

They may be different outputs but they are wired to the same place, it does not increase the supply.

Honestly 3 GPUs is really pushing it with that PSU. Theres a reason a certain number of PCIe connectors are provided on a PSU, because thats what the manufacturer are sure will work without damage. I would consider something bigger to continue this plan. Generally a 750w PSU is enough for only two GPUs.

What are you doing with this Mining? Theres no real other use for such disparate cards.

Anyway I'd recommend against using those adapters they are not safe to use, also splitting between those two connectors does nothing for you, the load comes from the same part of the PSU.

The rig is used for mining yes when it's not being used for gaming or other things. Splitting the power between molex and sata I assumed would increase power delivery to the card since they are coming from different outputs from the power supply

That psu would deliver power to 2 cards, but 3 is too much with all the other gear it's powering. I would look at a 1000w + with 6/8 pcie cables myself. Running a psu at max can be it's death. Sata and molex do draw from the same rail
