So with everything that is going on, all the bugs, bad performance etc. I was checking the builds recommendations and the best CPUs out there and i was wondering if i can still buy the 8th Gen Core i7-8700K Processor to play games at ultra or high res. If not can you guys pls recommend me something.

I also need a good case with some usb type c port in the front.

I'm also not sure about these two motherboards ASRock Z370 Extreme4 OR ASRock Z370 Killer SLI/ac LGA 1151.

my main question is about the CPUs so pls give me a fair response im willing to pay at most $450 for a good CPUs

Sure that'll work. Ultra or high sounds like a GTX 1070 which is a step up from the 480 8GB/580 8GB/1060 6GB with a 16GB RAM kit.

The Extreme 4 is...
The 8700k is a great CPU. Mobo wise both are good so get whichever has features you want.

And for 450 you arent going to get any GPU right now worth while. I would perhaps look at getting a used 960 or 970 or maybe if you can find a 980ti that wasnt used for heavy mining and is a reasonable price.

If you are worried about meltdown and spectre, then you just got to be patient. Neither AMD nor Intel has a solution in silicon yet, at least not released. The question is what have you got now, and why would you not wait?

I do NOT know where you get the idea that spectre is only a security flaw the servers. Sure servers that host a bunch of VMs really have a need to worry about this, but end users are still vulnerable. If you don't want some evil javascript or some apps trying to steal information from your PC/desktop/laptop/smartphone etc. you better be worried about spectre. It is NOT just server only. The only CPUs immune to spectre are the cheap raspberry pi arm chips without speculative execution.

The Extreme 4 is my choice.

I did not say it is only a security flaw for servers. What I meant is, and I should have clarified, is this flaw is MUCH more impactful to servers then end users.
