Will the CM Hyper 212 Evo block my RAM slots?

Hey guys,

I have an ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard,And i wanted an upgrade from the stock cooler to the Hyper 212 evo.

But i am unsure if it would be compatible with the Rams (G.SKILL RIPJAWS X 8GB Dual Channel).

Hyper 212 Evo doesn't hang over RAM slots and you don't have any RAM clearance issues with it.

Though, Hyper 212 Evo is poor choice when it comes to the CPU coolers, mostly because it's short lifespan sleeve bearing fan. Hyper 212 Evo is also quite tall at 159mm and not all cases have enough clearance for it.

For better CPU cooler, you can go for Arctic Freezer A32 where CPU cooler comes with long lifespan fluid-dynamic bearing fan which is also semi-passive (e.g fan won't turn on low CPU temps). CPU cooler is also shorter (150mm) and fits almost any tower-type PC case. Like Hyper 212 Evo, Freezer A32 doesn't give you any RAM clearance issues either,

My Skylake build also has Arctic Freezer i32 in use, full specs with pics in my sig.
Note: Freezer A32 comes with AMD bracket while Freezer i32 comes with Intel bracket.

Itll overhang the nearest slot to the cpu.
As said you can raise the fan if your case is wide enough.
If you only have 2 ram sticks use them in slots 2 & 4.

Also as mentioned - depending on which cpu you have ? - anything more than a 6300 a downblowing cooler would be better on that particular board.
