No - Once you activate a code, it's linked to your account and cannot be used with another account.

If it's a separate copy of the game, then he can use it. Two people can't activate/play the same game using only one copy.

Since you bought 1 disc, you can activate / register that disc with a single account, in order for your friend to join you, he must also purchase another copy of the disc, as each disc has a one time usage! And if you and your friend had to log into the same account to play the game it won't work only one person would be able to play that way.
