RAM doesn't recognize after CPU upgrade

hello . I just upgraded my cpu from i5 2400 to i5 2500k . and i had 3x2 gb +1x4gb = 10GB . in 4 slots .when i put the i5 2500k . 2 of Ram slots doesn't recognize the RAM , and my PC still restart every 5 sec . (doesn't boot) . even if i put only 2gb in these 2 slots my pc dont boot .

I upgraded to an i5 4690 just a couple of days ago, fitted the new cpu, and 1 ram slot stopped working....got the continuous beeps. Researching suggested there could be a bent pin, but in my case simply re-seating it solved the problem. There could have been some grease or microscopic gunk one of those tiny connectors on back of cpu. I gently rubbed the back, (with a rizla paper actually) just for good measure. Just to let you know my story

OMG .I tested it on my i5 2400 its not working on it now . !!!!

As suggested by alexoiu, check the CPU socket for dirt or bent pins. The memory controller is on the CPU and it's very unlikely both are defective.

i will tell exactly what i did .
1- I only removed my cpu i5 2400. and replaced it with the i5 2500k
2- I clicked on my power button and my pc running for 5 sec and restarting without booting .
3- I removed all RAMs and i left only one 2gb . its runs so well .
4- i set back my RAMs one by one , it work with 2 rams on slots #2 and #4 .
5- whenever i put anyone in the 1 and 3 slots my pc wont boot .

thats all now i am working on 6GB RAM from 10 . slot #2 is 2gb . slot #4 is 4gb .
