my pc just randomly freezes and so the only way to turn off is the power button, so basically i got a computer and built the parts up from scratch, my PSU is new so it cant be a problem with that, my graphics card is around 4+ yrs old and my mother board is new, so are my ram sticks and im using EVGA Precision XOC to monitor my usage and temp and it hasnt once been a temp problem. ive had this problem since i made the PC, i originally had windows 7 but upgraded to windows 10 at around the start of january hoping things would be fixed but to my surprise my games kept locking up. these games range from subnautica to battlefield 1 to War thunder. ive uninstalled steam, the games ive used DDU to unisntall my drivers then reinstall them. ive had my PC since November and i dont know where to go from here. my brother (who is currently at uni) says it has to be a software problem but im not sure. i can watch HD streams and stuff but when playing games my PC locks up. Alt + Tab doesnt work neither does alt + F4 so i need some thing to help here. it will crash in about 5 mins to over and 1hr of game time so its random. the highest ive had my temp is 80 Celcius which is playing Battlefield without tweaking my fan speed. i havent overclocked anything, nor underclock its basically never been tampered with.

Solution
I play a lot of Call of Duty and Battlefield 3 & 4. Sometimes I'll crash in the middle of a game and have to restart it. And then there's the reoccurring crash. I know this is gonna sound weird but there were times I uninstalled and reinstalled game and gpu drivers with no effect to the crashing. Then a friend told me to set the games on 'default' or 'reset'. He said with online gaming the server sites remember the crashes like a game setting and have to be erased. To do that you need to reset or set the game back to default. Write down your game settings before you do this as they will be gone. This cured my crashes.
Hope this helps.

ive reinstalled all drivers tried uninstalling and reinstalling im currently testing to see if my GPU is the problem by removing it and trying the games after that. apologies if those hard drive specs are wrong im not necessarily a pro at this. and define system specs please.
