hi! was planing to upgrade my i5 skylake processor for a i7 7700k Kaby lake. Was just wondering iff the stock cooler that came with my i5 skylake would be any good for a i7 7700k kaby lake. Thanks for your time guys!

Solution
Likely not. The 7700k has a higher TDP than any of the locked Skylake/Kaby Lake chips and the tiny aluminum heatsink that is on the current gen Intel stock cooler is very likely to struggle. I strongly recommend aftermarket cooling, even if you don't plan on overclocking that CPU.
