I3-7100 and GTX 1060 3gb?

I want to know if I3-7100 is good enough to be paired with a GTX 1060 3gb, will I run into any problems gaming at High Settings with high fps. I also want to make sure that I won't have to buy a new GPU for a long time.

You'll be fine, with understanding. If you try high settings on games like GTA 5, Witcher 3, BF1, SWBG/2 etc that are optimized for 8 thread usage, your cpu will take a beating, not because it's an i3, but because it's 4 threads. Even i5's take a beating in those games.
