Asus rog strix z370-h for overclocking?

Just bought Asus rog strix z370-h, and are planing to oc. But then I got this response to a post on reddit:
"I do not recommend overclocking with that motherboard at all. The software and hardware for that board are not up to par for a CPU as power-hungry as an overclocked 8700K."
Is the motherboard bad, or is it just bullocks? And would it have been better to go for tuf z370-pro gaming?

Setup: Cpu: 8700k Cpu cooler: H212 evo (Getting noctuad15 soon) Memory: 16 gb 3200 mhz Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING GPU: 1070 PSU: RM650x

Solution
If you want a serious overclock, and can afford better one, I would suggest so. Actually look at AsRock Extreme4 board, it should be actually cheaper then -H but better.
Tuf pro gaming has exactly same number of power phases as z370-h, and BIOS is pretty much same (never use any 'software' for overcloking), so I see no difference. Both boards have only 6 phases, so indeed they are not good for serious OC, but in the end it all depends on CPU - if you got unit that can go to high clock on low voltage, then quality of the board matters less. But if you have to increase voltage to get stable OC then low number of power phases on the motherboard works against you.

He sooner added this:
There was a BIOS bug when Z370 first launched which Asus never fixed for the STRIX-H because they don't feel that it's a "capable" board as far as overclocking goes.

I cant find much information about this bug, or if it has been fixed. Do you know anything?

Yes, I recall something that affected -F, -E and possibly other Asus boards, that has something to do with overclocking, although don't remember details. I'm quite sure they fixed it for high-end boards, but indeed -H has only 3 BIOS versions available (comparing to 12 for -E), so that guy may be right about it. But again, Tuf Pro has also only 3 BIOS versions available, so no difference here.

Should I try to return my board, and get a better version maybe?

Wow. So this board's a dud, huh? Phiffft. That explains it. I've been fiddle-faddling with the bios for days.. . and the cure is none. No overclocking the ROG Strix Z370-H board. Just my luck. I was trying to 'sync all cores' in core ratio to 5.0 and it kept jumping to 8 automatically. Whoa, lol. It's even got a ram voltage jumper on the top edge of the board I haven't seen on other ROG Strix boards.
When I first got the board it wouldn't punch up Dimm slots A-1 and A-2. B-1 and 2 were fine. I RMA it to Asus and they set it back saying, 'during test they couldn't duplicate the problem'. ? But they sent it back repaired. Spooky board.
