Hello guys, So this is basically my first gaming PC build and GPU prices are holding me back as my build budget is limited(£800ish). I'm not building my PC until June so I'm confused should I wait till end of May to see if the price of gtx 1060 6GB goes down or should I just buy it now? The Founder Edition of gtx 1060 6gb was on £279 about a week ago and EVGA SSC version was on £289 which I ignored thinking it will drop even more by June.

Most of my friends and 'internet experts' are saying price will go back to MSRP soon. I don't wanna pay more than what it is worth as saving some money will help me purhcase a better monitor later. Now i'm worried if i'm expecting too much? I'm totally new to building and buying PC parts. So I'm wondering what would be a good price to buy a gtx 1060 6GB? And should I wait till June?

I'm planning to have the following configuration: i5 8400, GTX 1060 6GB, Ballistix 16GB DDR4 RAM, ASRock Z370 Pro4, 1TB HDD, 120GB SSD,EVGA 500W 80+ PSU, NZXT S340. Thanks

If you are not building now definitely wait to see if the prices come down, I suspect there is a good chance they will. But that is just a guess. Highly doubt they will get higher.

I might as well wait hoping the luck will be with me. I'm just worried what if the the price get even higher by that time. it will ruin my whole plan and might as well end up buying a prebuilt one. Something under £300 for a gtx 1060 6gb still looks good value comparing to some of the sellers selling it for £400+.but still :/
