Expiration of toners for HP Laserjet?

Hello, is it true that if I buy a toner today (on sale) and do not open the box, I can use it years later without problem? The sale told me that there is no expiration but after my toner arrived, I saw a manufactured date. Currently, I still have quite a lot (about 70%) of magenta left.

After about 20 years, even sealed in its bag in the box, you will likely need to dismantle the new cartridge to change the wiper blade and perhaps even the doctor blade in it before use, as they harden over time.
